Increased efficiency through real-time data: modernized conveyor display
The Challenge
For a commercial vehicle manufacturer, it is extremely important to design efficient production processes and ensure that the internal visualization of conveyor belt data is future-proof. Our customer's existing solution led to high system loads due to constant database queries, even when the data remained unchanged. The goal was to create a modern, flexible interface that offers clear added value not only in stationary but also in mobile applications – including optimal performance and smart data processing.
Our solution
Our experienced, interdisciplinary team overhauled the existing Oracle APEX application. The new web interface was modern, mobile-friendly and equipped with dark mode. To significantly increase performance, a WebSocket-based system with Node.js was connected directly to APEX - so data is only transferred when actual changes are made. The project was implemented in an agile manner, with close coordination between the development team and customer coordination.
The result
The significantly relieved database impresses with noticeably better system performance and a modern, responsive user interface. As a result, our customer not only regained technical stability, but also flexibility for future requirements.
